Description
We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our team in Moline, Illinois. This Contract-to-permanent position offers the opportunity to transform business needs into actionable technical specifications and contribute to innovative data solutions. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between multiple business units and the Analytics Team, ensuring that data-driven insights align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Develop and translate business requirements into technical specifications to support data-driven decision-making.
Collaborate with business and data owners, IT team members, security personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on data-related initiatives.
Create compelling data visualizations and reports using tools such as PowerBI and BusinessObjects Technologies.
Conduct gap analysis and AB testing to identify areas for improvement and validate solutions.
Implement Agile Scrum methodologies to ensure efficient project delivery.
Drive the development of analytics and business intelligence solutions that meet organizational needs.
Maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational data and systems.
Utilize Apache Spark, Erwin Data, and other tools to manage and analyze complex datasets.
Actively engage in problem-solving, taking initiative to address challenges independently.
Support ongoing efforts to improve data storytelling and visualization techniques.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent; advanced education preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or related roles.
Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python.
Strong knowledge of PowerBI, R Studio, and Visual Studio.
Familiarity with tools like Apache Spark, Atlassian Jira, and BusinessObjects Technologies.
Demonstrated ability to work within Agile Scrum frameworks.
Proven experience in data visualization and storytelling.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
