Overview
This role involves traveling to new and existing customer sites to install, program, and troubleshoot enterprise-level security and access systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Service, troubleshoot, program, and test enterprise security systems with minimal supervision
- Work with systems including access control, IP video surveillance, intrusion detection, and visitor management
- Troubleshoot and program networked IP video systems
- Troubleshoot and program networked access control systems
- Service commercial intrusion alarm systems and other IoT-connected systems
- Deliver exceptional customer service in all client interactions
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting and programming networked access control and IP video systems, including work on customer networks
- Experience programming Lenel, ProWatch, and Genetec systems
- Minimum 2 years of experience servicing and programming commercial access control, IP-based video systems, and intrusion alarm systems
Preferred Qualifications ("Nice to Haves")
- Previous employment with companies such as Convergent or SecureTop
- Certifications in Lenel and Genetec
- Demonstrated proficiency with Mercury board-based systems
- Experience setting up Mercury board controllers
- Hands-on programming experience with Lenel, ProWatch, and Genetec
