As a Systems Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be:
- Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and program management in Risk and Opportunity Management activities, including the use of Systems Engineering tools to capture, track and communication Risks and Opportunities to the program and Mission Segment, and deliver Risk and Opportunity training as necessary
- Facilitate Risk and Opportunities Management Board (ROMB) meetings, including with the customer
- Assess impact of Risks and Opportunities program schedules and work plans
- Coordinate the risk assessments and mitigation planning throughout Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
- Ensure Systems Engineering and Risk and Opportunity is coordinated across Program and major suppliers
- Support Systems Engineering tasking by assigned by Program Technical Leaders, to include requirement/interface assessment, SDRL generation, assessment and management, and trade study planning, execution and assessment
Basic Qualifications
Experience with Engineering and Systems Engineering development processes and phases of development life cycle (proposal, design, qualification, requirements
verification/validation, production and deployed
system support)
Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management tools and processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with standard documentation and presentation tools
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with commensurate years of professional experience
Active DoD Secret clearance or above
Desired skills
Experience with Systems Engineering for missile or space systems
Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
Experience collaborating with internal and external customers and executive leadership
Ability to lead multi-functional teams, build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peers
Experience developing basis of estimates
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
Effectively manage change
Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change
Familiarity with EIA-748 Earned Value Management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project
Master's Degree in Systems Engineering, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate
ship with the ability to obtain TBX Security clearance or prior to start need Top Secret

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
