SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician IV in Bedford, IN to support the U.S. Marine Corps CTN project. This position will need someone familiar with building equipment and assemblies per engineer drawings and schematics, knows e-mail etiquette and can communicate with both CIV and CTR. Description

This position is perfect for someone that is organized and willing to work in and lead small teams and with government oversight.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Using hand tools and power tools to assemble according to engineering drawings.
- Performing tasking such as integration of system components, modifications to systems, with attention to detail.
- Analyzing and implementing procedures and processes for the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of the programs/projects.
- Installation of Engineering Change Proposal for new equipment and systems upgrade.
- Wiring/Building system to schematics and engineering drawings and testing of electrical circuits.
- Following quality control processes to ensure integrity and accuracy of procured hardware and equipment as they pertain to production efforts.
- Traveling and working with and supporting system operations at CTN test events and unit fielding events.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- High School Diploma and 4 years of experience.
- Must have strong communication abilities.
- Must be attentive to details to ensure products meet Government requirements and qualifications.
- Construction or mechanical assembly experience.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Must be proficient at reading and understanding technical manuals related to equipment being installed and being able to perform basic operational testing.
- Must be capable of reading and understanding engineering drawings and wiring diagrams for system integration and assemblies.
- Must be willing to travel 25% of the time for ECP updates and fielding/training events at Marine Corps bases both CONUS and OCONUS.
- Must have a valid U.S. passport
