Top skills:
- Cisco router and switch experience
- Firepower (Cisco's firewall)/ or other firewall experience
- WMWare
- Manufacturing experience is a plus!
- MUST be OK traveling to some coal mine sites
Education and Experience
- 5-8 years of experience.
- Expertise in server operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Network administration skills (routing, switching, firewalls, Cisco, Meraki).
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware).
- Understanding of security best practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Weekend work as needed.
Desirable skills:
- Cloud computing proficiency (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python).
- Industrial/Manufacturing environment support.
WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
- Implementing infrastructure solutions in complex environments.
- System administration: Installing, configuring, and managing servers, operating systems, and network devices.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues related to system performance, network connectivity, and application availability.
- Capacity planning: Assessing future infrastructure needs and proactively scaling systems to accommodate growth.
- Security management: Implementing security protocols and best practices to protect data and systems from unauthorized access.
- Collaboration with other teams: Working closely with development teams, security teams, and application support to ensure smooth integration and operation.
