Job Title: Regulatory Data & Compliance Technical Consultant
Type: Contract
Duration: 6 Months (Likely to extend or convert)


About the Role:

We are seeking a highly technical SME with advanced experience in data analysis, ETL pipelines, and regulatory compliance (especially FDIC Part 370). This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and regulatory interpretation, working directly with both technical teams and compliance SMEs to evaluate and document the Central Engine s logic used in FDIC calculations.

This is a hybrid position, part of a pilot program, where you ll contribute to critical compliance initiatives with high visibility and impact.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, document, and evaluate logic in the Central Engine (FDIC calculator)

  • Compare existing code and logic to FDIC Part 370 technical requirements

  • Partner with Regulatory SMEs to identify compliance gaps

  • Interpret data mapping documents (technical & business) and ensure translation accuracy

  • Analyze source-to-target mappings and ETL pipelines for regulatory alignment

  • Provide hands-on support in SQL, Ab Initio, and other scripting or data tools


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years in Business Execution / Technical Strategy / Regulatory Data Systems

  • Advanced SQL expertise in a data warehouse / big data environment

  • Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data profiling

  • Familiarity with Ab Initio or scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.)

  • Experience reading and interpreting complex mapping documents (STTM)

  • Clear understanding of FDIC regulations, especially Part 370

  • Prior experience working in banking or financial institutions

  • Knowledge of data integrity validation per regulatory compliance standards


Preferred:

  • Hands-on with Hive, Cloud data platforms

  • Background in building or evaluating regulatory logic calculators

  • Experience with auditing or compliance checks for financial data
