Job Description

Join a dynamic and multidisciplinary team of technicians responsible for building launch vehicles, spacecraft, and launch facility systems. This role involves hands-on manufacturing, assembly, and hardware testing to support spaceflight programs. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, precision, and repeatability in aerospace environments.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble structural, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components for launch vehicles and propulsion systems.
  • Perform precision structural assembly to aerospace standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to review designs and support development testing.
  • Interpret and follow detailed work instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Plan and execute complex mechanical installations.
  • Safely handle hazardous systems involving chemicals and high-pressure equipment.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Apply excellent problem-solving skills to technical challenges.


Required Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of experience in precision mechanical assembly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in drilling and preparing close-tolerance holes for structural fasteners.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Skilled in using standard mechanical tools and fabrication equipment.
  • Experience in aerospace, military hardware, or related technical fields.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required.


Preferred Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace or launch vehicle integration.
  • A&P license or equivalent experience in propulsion system assembly.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic system safety.
  • Experience operating cranes, forklifts, and other heavy lifting equipment.
  • Familiarity with 3D measurement tools and software (e.g., Spatial Analyzer, Verisurf).
  • Understanding of rocket propellants including hydrogen peroxide, RP, and cryogenics.
  • Ability to read and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994.
  • Experience with 3D CAD tools (CREO preferred).
