About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong experience in Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud and a solid understanding of the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry. This hybrid role based in Raritan, NJ (3 days onsite per week) offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional business and technology teams to design, optimize, and enhance CRM-driven business processes supporting sales operations, customer service, and healthcare provider (HCP) engagement.

The ideal candidate will act as a strategic partner between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving initiatives that improve customer experiences, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance in pharma sales and service processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business users, sales teams, and customer service teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud, with a focus on pharma-specific sales models and customer service workflows.

  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.

  • Support the implementation and optimization of Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with pharma compliance (e.g., FDA, HIPAA, Sunshine Act).

  • Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and recommend system enhancements to improve productivity and data quality.

  • Collaborate with Salesforce admins, developers, and third-party vendors to configure and deliver CRM solutions.

  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), training material creation, and end-user training sessions.

  • Support reporting and analytics needs for sales performance, customer interactions, and service metrics.

  • Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with pharma industry standards and data governance policies.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, with at least 2+ years working with Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud.

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry is required.

  • Strong understanding of pharma sales operations, customer service processes, and healthcare professional (HCP) engagement models.

  • Experience with business process modeling, user story creation, and functional documentation.

  • Familiarity with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, and pharma data privacy regulations.

  • Proficiency in CRM data reporting and analytics tools.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.


Preferred Skills:

  • Salesforce Business Analyst or Admin Certification.

  • Knowledge of CRM integration with pharma-specific platforms like Veeva CRM, MedPro, or IQVIA.

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment.

  • Familiarity with Sunshine Act reporting processes.
