Description

This senior engineering position provides Tier 3 level support for video teleconferencing systems (VTC). The preferred candidate will be a senior IT engineer with extensive hands-on experience with platform configuration, operations, management, maintenance, and architecture for video teleconferencing systems - with special emphasis placed on Cisco's family of VTC hardware and services, and other vendors with products that support multiplatform services (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Zoom, WebEx, etc.). The qualified candidate will have extensive experience in analyzing, troubleshooting, and remediating end-user issues.

The position will have a hybrid telework arrangement with one telework day a week and the remaining workdays at a secure government facility within the Washington DC metropolitan area. Work schedule will be Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Work location and schedule subject to change based on government requirements.

RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
  • Establish WebEx host accounts, manage calendar requests, and establish WebEx elevated account privileges utilizing the WebEx Control Hub
  • Implement patches and upgrades for VTC endpoint software
  • Provide VTC endpoint advanced configurations
  • Establish and support new virtual meeting rooms
  • Add VTC administrators
  • Conduct VTC surveys and neighboring
  • Review VTC purchase requests
  • Perform VTC advanced monitoring to include Network latency, packet loss, and determine audio/video delays
  • Conduct advanced diagnostic review of VTC endpoint call logs
  • Perform Tier 3 engineering support and troubleshooting to include endpoint and conference bridge analysis, conference call remediation, and AV/VTC integrated rooms troubleshooting

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience. May accept additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Significant hands-on experience in configuring, maintaining, and operating multiplatform VTRC hardware and services (WebEx, Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).
  • Experienced with ServiceNow ticket management and workflow
  • Prior documented hands-on experience with providing Tier 3 VTC support

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
