Job Summary:

Looking for a forward-thinking and skilled AR/VR Consultant to help drive innovation through immersive technologies that improve health outcomes and patient experiences. You will play a critical role in identifying, designing, and implementing AR/VR solutions across company's business units, with a focus on training, customer experience, virtual care, and operational efficiency. Your work will help shape the future of digital health in one of the largest healthcare organizations in the U.S.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders and innovation teams to identify use cases for AR/VR within healthcare, pharmacy services, retail operations, and training.

  • Design and develop prototypes, POCs, and production-ready AR/VR applications using Unity, Unreal Engine, and relevant AR/VR SDKs (e.g., ARKit, ARCore).

  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, product managers, and clinicians to create immersive experiences that align with CVS Health s digital health strategy.

  • Lead research on emerging immersive technologies and assess their applicability to CVS Health s strategic goals.

  • Support initiatives in virtual training for pharmacists, simulated care scenarios for clinicians, and immersive retail experiences for customers.

  • Provide expertise on user interaction in 3D environments, accessibility considerations, and data privacy/security compliance in healthcare settings.

  • Develop documentation, best practices, and training materials to scale AR/VR adoption across the enterprise.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Interactive Design, Digital Media, or a related technical field.

  • 3+ years of experience developing AR/VR applications or immersive solutions in a consulting or enterprise environment.

  • Proficient in Unity or Unreal Engine, with experience building experiences for platforms such as HoloLens, Oculus, or mobile AR.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare or retail workflows and a passion for improving patient and customer outcomes through technology.

  • Solid programming skills (e.g., C#, C++, JavaScript) and familiarity with 3D assets, UX design in immersive environments, and motion design principles.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate technical solutions into business value.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience deploying AR/VR in healthcare, retail, or enterprise training contexts.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA, data protection, and healthcare IT systems (e.g., EHRs).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and their XR/AI toolkits.

  • Exposure to AI, computer vision, digital twin technologies, or remote collaboration tools.

  • Prior experience working in a large matrixed organization or consulting with Fortune 500 clients.
