Job Description:

Top Skills:
  • Program Management
    • Heavy experience in program/project management across cross-functional teams.
    • Skilled in dependency management, status aggregation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Agile/Scrum Framework - Someone with Scrum background is ideal, but he can train on this if necessary.
    • Solid understanding of Agile principles and Scrum ceremonies (standups, grooming, planning, retrospectives). Leadership has an appetite to see certain deliverables during sprint. Their VP attends their demos.
    • Experience attending or facilitating Agile ceremonies.
    • Ability to work in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment. Dev can be waterfall because they at the back of the stack. The other teams have to deliver first.
  • Jira
    • Strong familiarity with Jira boards: updating tickets, managing sprints, applying tags, and using fixed versions.
    • Understanding of how to work within Jira during Agile ceremonies.

Soft Skills:
  • Outgoing and Assertive - comfortable presenting to leadership; not afraid to speak up/take initiative, even when there is a bad component to what they are sharing.
    • If a project is degraded in status or health, these emails go to VP and above, so need to be prepared to speak on why a project went to yellow or red status.
    • Proactive - take ownership of deliverables and shifting priorities


Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Distillery
    • No prior experience required, but must be willing to get certified.
    • Understanding of canary release strategies and customer impact analysis is a plus.
  • Technical Acumen
    • Doesn't need deep mobile development knowledge but should be comfortable working with developers and QEs.
    • Ability to synthesize technical information and communicate effectively with technical teams.
