As part of our OptumRx Architecture team, you will play a significant part in supporting the IBMi infrastructure for RxClaims. This position will be one of several team members responsible for providing direction and solving technical problems for RxClaim running on IBMi. This position will provide input to the Director of Architecture and assist in developing long range Architectural plans supporting RxClaim running on IBMi.

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the IBMi infrastructure for RxClaims
- Solve technical problems for RxClaim running on IBMi
- Provide input and assist in developing long range Architectural plans
- Evaluate and implement new ISV products in a multi-lpar environment
- Direct "Evergreen" projects to ensure LPAR currency
- Partition sizing and frame assignments in collaboration with the Performance and Hardware Teams
- Manage the assignment and configuration of IP's on the lpars
- Manage/maintain the frame and partition naming convention
- Manage and support the execution of the LPM process
- Contribute to major project works including projects such as DB2 Mirror; OS Upgrades
- Manage small hardware lifecycle projects, tracking tasks and assignment of work.
- Provide guidance to application development on:
- New lpar sizing and lpar placement
- Usage of flash copy partitions for full system testing
- Provide knowledge transfer to iCOE members in the following areas:
- Base partition configuration (set system name, IPs, couple software configs, etc)
- SMTP configuration
- IP cleanup on existing partitions after a partition decommission
- Resource tracking
- IP assignment/firewall/NAT/GTM/LTM

Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience with IBMi Servers
- 10+ years of experience in design and architecture solutions
- Experience with mentoring team members
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of IBMs support processes and structure
- Familiarity with replication using hardware and software replication technologies
- Knowledge of IBM DB2Mirror
- Working knowledge of utilization of IBMi Exit Point programs
- Knowledge of NPIV configurations
- Knowledge of SEA adapter configuration for automated failover
- Familiarity with LPAR migration across organizations / data centers
- Knowledge of VIOS configuration to support virtual storage and ethernet
- Knowledge of IBMi security constructs
- Experience building IBMi lpars from scratch
- Knowledge of IBMi backup and recovery processes
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
