Job Summary

Tryfacta is seeking a Fire Department Support Programmer for our client in Clark County, NV. This is a temporary contract assignment supporting a mission-critical public safety environment. If you meet the qualifications below and are interested, please apply.


Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must meet all minimum qualifications.

Expert Level (Minimum 5 Years)

  • CAD Administrator experience with CentralSquare CAD

  • MS SQL Server

    • T-SQL

    • Stored Procedures

  • Report development using Power BI and Crystal Reports

Advanced Level (Minimum 1 Year)

  • FireRMS support

  • ProQA support

  • Station Alerting systems support (e.g., Locution)

Minimum 1 Year

  • Documentation of technical requirements in a project tracking system

  • Building and executing test plans for software modifications


Duties, Scope of Work, and Milestones

The Fire Department Support Programmer supports all functions of the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system at the Combined Communications Center. The primary CAD platform is provided by CentralSquare, with additional systems from Priority Dispatch.

The CAD system interfaces with multiple downstream systems, including:

  • CAD2CAD interfaces to ambulance franchises

  • Deccan (fire chief analytics)

  • Station Alerting (Locution)

  • FireRMS (fire loss reporting)

  • FirstWatch

  • PDC Fusion

This role provides day-to-day operational support, application enhancements, and the design, testing, and implementation of reporting solutions using MS SQL Server, Power BI, and Crystal Reports.


Milestone Deliverables

  • Support department reporting needs (anticipated through June 30, 2026)

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle

  • Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly team meetings

  • Communicate development roadblocks within 24 hours

  • Produce monthly CAD exports, Auto Aid reports, and reports for rural fire chiefs

  • Coordinate and schedule system upgrades with CentralSquare and Priority Dispatch


Daily / Weekly Expectations

  • Provide day-to-day operational support based on departmental needs

  • Deliver weekly progress reports for code review

  • Analyze and resolve technical issues, providing weekly bug status updates

  • Evaluate and recommend alternative application design solutions

  • Communicate work status at least bi-weekly

  • Configure and maintain:

    • Units, stations, and response plans

    • Protocol modifications

    • User access and system health monitoring

  • Troubleshoot CAD system issues and outages

  • Develop ad hoc reports for stakeholders including:

    • City of Las Vegas

    • Clark County

    • Moapa

    • Mt. Charleston

Estimated Duration

This ongoing engagement may last up to two (2) years.
