Principal Software Engineer

The Copilot Studio team builds cloud-based SaaS intelligent conversational Copilots using Generative AI. Our focus is democratize development of Generative AI applications across a wide array of chat and voice messaging platforms.

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our team.

This role will drive critical architectural elements of Generative AI integration and orchestration in a distributed system. You will collaborate with other leads and individual contributors to build a state of the art no-code/low-code authoring and management application.

Responsibilities:

- Develop new functionality and architectural patterns to integrate Generative AI into various applications

- Deliver a highly available, highly reliable service.

- Demonstrate experience with technology, customers, and distributed systems.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of industry experience working on commercial software application or services.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CS fundamentals with an understanding of the differences between platforms and environments.
• Demonstrated technical design, architecture, problem solving, and debugging skills in the Generative AI space

Software Engineering IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.
