Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle EBS SCM Techno-Functional Consultant to join our global support team. This role is responsible for end-to-end resolution of incidents, issue triaging, defect analysis and fixes, and ensuring uninterrupted operation of key processes within Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.x. The ideal candidate brings deep domain knowledge in Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), and Supply Chain modules along with strong technical troubleshooting capabilities in complex, integrated environments including Planning, WMS, 3PLs, Inventory, and external platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional Support & Process Continuity:
Serve as the lead support consultant for Oracle EBS SCM modules: Order Management, Purchasing, Inventory, Shipping, Fulfillment, and Advanced Pricing.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across O2C and P2P processes such as incomplete orders, PO exceptions, shipping failures, receiving errors etc.
Analyze data and process deviations impacting supply chain execution, procurement, and order fulfillment.
Collaborate with business users (e.g., planners, buyers, fulfillment teams) to provide functional issue resolution and proactive support.
Support critical period-close operations and ensure continuity during high-volume transaction windows.
Lead issue triage sessions, document resolutions, and create reusable functional knowledge base entries.
Technical Troubleshooting & Integration Support:
Investigate and resolve defects in RICEW components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows) impacting SCM processes.
Perform code analysis and debugging in PL/SQL, Oracle Forms/Reports, BI Publisher, and Workflow Builder.
Troubleshoot integration failures via SOA Suite, OSB, and file/API-based interfaces involving external WMS, 3PL, Retail, and eCommerce systems.
Coordinate with DBAs and infrastructure teams for concurrent manager tuning, performance bottlenecks, and job failures.
Execute approved data fix scripts and track changes via CAB and ITSM workflows.
Contribute to defect trend analysis and recurring issue mitigation strategies.
Required Skills & Experience:
Functional Proficiency:
In-depth knowledge of:
o Order to Cash (O2C) Order Management, Shipping, AR integration
o Procure to Pay (P2P) Purchasing, Receiving, AP touchpoints
o SCM Execution Inventory, Fulfillment, Advanced Pricing
o Planning Systems ASCP/MRP and supply-demand reconciliation
Proven ability to understand transaction flows, setups, and dependencies across modules.
Experience supporting cross-functional processes and integration with external logistics systems.
Technical Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with:
o PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, Oracle Forms, BI Publisher, Workflow Builder
o Debugging and resolving issues in custom concurrent programs and workflows
o Interface troubleshooting with SOA Suite, OSB, XML, REST/SOAP APIs
Familiarity with Oracle EBS logging, error handling, and debugging tools
Tooling & Process Governance:
Working knowledge of ServiceNow (or similar ITSM tools) for incident/change management
Familiarity with ITIL practices, CAB processes, and defect lifecycle documentation
Experience operating in SOX-compliant and audited environments
Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholder updates and RCA documentation
Mandatory
10 + years of technical experience supporting Oracle EBS SCM modules.
Strong proficiency in functional and technical spaces including
o PL/SQL, SQL
o Oracle Forms, Reports, Workflow
o BI Publisher, ADF, OAF
Hands-on experience supporting interfaces and integrations via SOA Suite, OSB, WebLogic.
Solid understanding of SCM data models and business processes (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay).
Proven ability to troubleshoot integration failures between Oracle EBS and external systems (e.g., WMS, 3PL).
Familiarity with SOAP/REST APIs, XML, and file-based integrations.
Experience in multilingual environments
Knowledge of multi-org, localization, and multi-currency setups
Preferred
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) in EBS R12 technologies is a plus.
Prior experience in large-scale global support models.
Familiarity with agile ticket management, RCA methodologies, and ITIL practices.
