Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Software Engineer to join their team in Alpharetta, GA.

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our data engineering team in supporting a large-scale, cloud-native data infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building scalable systems, automating workflows, and integrating cutting-edge technologies into data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain robust data engineering pipelines using orchestration tools (similar to Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory)
* Implement automation for common support tasks using API triggers and event-driven architectures
* Integrate prompt engineering and LLM configurations into data workflows
* Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes in cloud environments (Azure preferred)
* Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, ensuring reliability and scalability
* Prioritize InfoSec and AppSec

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of experience in software engineering or data engineering roles
* Understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps principles
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Hands-on experience with at least some of the following:
* Cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or Google Cloud Platform acceptable)
* Kubernetes and container orchestration
* Data pipeline orchestration tools
* Prompt engineering and LLM configuration (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI)
* Automation using APIs and scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
* Databricks

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Azure services such as Cosmos DB
* Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
