.NET Engineer / Fort Worth, TX / 5-week Contract-To-Hire

They are currently hiring a contractor to join their team for help build out mobile-responsive websites. This is a 5 week contract, however there is a possible opportunity to convert to full time dependent upon engineer performance.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a .NET Engineer
• Developing, deploying, and maintaining web applications using ASP.NET Core 7.
• Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns in C#.
• Ability to design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of API security, versioning, and best practices for API design.
• Ability to work with SQL Server or other relational database management systems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the fintech industry or with financial applications.
• Knowledge of cloud services and deployment (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• 75% new development
• 25% maintaince and enhancements

Daily Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using C#, .NET Core, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and business analysts to deliver robust and efficient software solutions.
• Design and implement APIs and microservices to support a modular, service-oriented architecture.
• Deploy applications to Microsoft Azure, leveraging services including Azure Functions, App Services, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Uphold code quality through unit testing, peer code reviews, and adherence to CI/CD best practices.
• Contribute to technical planning, architecture reviews, and system design discussions.
