Project Overview:
Our client is executing a major automation initiative to
support manufacturing systems, with a focus on SCADA, batch control, and recipe
management. This role will support the project from the owner's side, working
closely with internal teams and system integrators to ensure successful
delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical lead, driving project deliverables and ensuring alignment with best practices.
- Collaborate with system integrators and internal stakeholders to review and validate SCADA and automation designs.
- Support the development and review of design documentation, screen designs, and system architecture.
- Provide input on batch control strategies and recipe authoring.
- Ensure compliance with validation requirements (e.g., GxP, 21 CFR Part 11).
- Coordinate with the PMO and potentially take over technical project leadership responsibilities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in automation engineering or technical project leadership.
- Strong hands-on experience with SCADA systems, especially Ignition.
- Familiarity with batch control systems and recipe management.
- Experience with platforms such as Ignition, FactoryTalk Batch, GE iFIX, Proficy, or DeltaV DCS.
- Ability to review and contribute to technical documentation and system design.
- Understanding of validation and compliance in regulated manufacturing environments.
Nice-to-Have:
- Familiarity with MES systems and how SCADA integrates with MES (e.g., data flow, recipe handoff).
- Knowledge of Pi Data Historian, Snowflake, AWS, or modern integration techniques (e.g., APIs).
- Basic understanding of Python (not required, but beneficial).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $100.00/hr.
