Vaco is actively seeking a Senior Endpoint Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity to join an extremely stable and internationally respected organization in downtown St. Louis.
Position Summary
The Senior Endpoint Engineer plays a critical leadership role in maintaining and advancing the organization’s desktop, laptop, and mobile device environments. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of hardware, operating systems, and applications, including top-level / Teir 4 equivalent support, deployment, troubleshooting, and security assurance.

Position Summary

This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of hardware, operating systems, and applications, including top-level / Teir 4 equivalent support, deployment, troubleshooting, and security assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead maintenance and optimization of desktop, laptop, and mobile operating systems.
- Manage configuration, testing, and deployment of base images and OS updates.
- Collaborate with deployment teams to roll out system updates and changes.
- Implement and manage desktop and mobile platform solutions, ensuring security and compatibility.
- Test, validate, and integrate new hardware into the existing environment.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting for operating systems, hardware, and enterprise applications.
- Analyze and remediate OS update deployment issues.
- Drive and manage vendor escalations to quickly resolve critical technical issues with minimal business disruption.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline endpoint management.
- Develop, document, and maintain operational procedures and workflows for cross-team training and handoffs.
- Mentor and support junior engineers to develop technical skills and best practices.
- Travel as needed (up to 10%), including occasional nights and weekends.
- Collaborate with vendor partners on advanced troubleshooting and escalated situations as required.
Qualifications:
- Deep technical knowledge of PC/Mac architecture, components, and peripherals.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on quality standards and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-demand environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation and process improvements.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions.
- Solid understanding of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc) for infrastructure deployment and management.
- Expertise with Microsoft Intune for endpoint management.
- Knowledge of endpoint security tools including antivirus, encryption, and threat detection solutions.
- Extremely strong communication and interpersonal skills with individuals throughout a formal corporate environment.
Experience:
- 10 years of hands-on experience supporting and maintaining PC, Mac, and mobile endpoints.
- Advanced proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, System Center Suite, VPN technologies, and LAN environments.
- Working knowledge of Mac OS and related productivity tools.
