Position: Data Analyst / BI Developer
Duration: 1 year
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Role Overview
Provides hands-on analytics and visualization support for police data reporting initiatives under direction of senior analytics staff.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with:
- SQL (queries, joins, aggregations)
- Tableau and/or Power BI
- Experience building dashboards and reports
- Experience working with large, structured datasets
- Ability to follow established data standards and documentation practices
Preferred Skills
- Experience with public-sector or justice-related data
- Experience with data validation and quality checks
- Familiarity with data privacy requirements
Scope of Work
- Build and enhance dashboards and reports
- Write and maintain SQL queries
- Support data validation and cleansing activities
- Assist with dashboard formatting and usability
- Maintain documentation and job aids
- Support updates to existing dashboards
- Collaborate with internal analytics staff for knowledge transfer
