We are seeking a Director of Application Development to lead three development teams through modernization, delivery, and day-to-day problem-solving across multiple business units. This role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on leader who can balance short-term delivery with long-term architectural vision.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduct & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with department leaders to align technical initiatives with organizational goals.
- Translate business challenges into long-term technical strategies.
- Apply product management principles to ensure work is prioritized by business value.
- Create and present roadmaps and updates to various stakeholders.
- Define and guide architecture and development strategies across teams.
- Leverage modern technologies, including AI-driven solutions, to enhance development and delivery.
- Uphold high standards in coding, security, and operations using Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
- Lead modernization efforts, transitioning legacy systems to scalable, cloud-native solutions (primarily in Azure).
- Stay informed on industry trends and recommend adoption of relevant technologies.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top technical talent.
- Manage team performance, provide coaching, and foster a culture of accountability and growth.
- Promote continuous improvement through skill development and innovation.
- Represent development capabilities in client and partner meetings.
- Support go-to-market strategies with technical insight and execution readiness.
- Incorporate client feedback into development planning and roadmaps.
- 5+ years in technical leadership roles, preferably in regulated industries.
- Strong experience in stakeholder management and product planning.
- Proven ability to align technology with business objectives.
- Hands-on technical problem-solving and architectural planning skills.
- Experience leading modernization initiatives while maintaining legacy system stability.
- Strong background in cloud development and Microsoft technologies (.NET, Azure, SQL Server, Power Platform).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps/CI-CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Background in insurance, benefits, or healthcare-related applications.
- Familiarity with client identity management (CIAM) and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HITRUST).
- Experience collaborating with Sales, Product, or Client Success teams.
