Job Description:

Apex Systems is hiring for a System Release Engineer role to work onsite 3x per week, 2 days remote.

Choice of location: Charlotte, NC; Iselin, NJ or Irving, TX.

The Platform Support team is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) focused on mission-critical internal risk applications-primarily the payments platform used by Risk and Audit (130+ apps). This person will be the go-to expert for application performance, stability, and continuous improvement, collaborating closely with developers, operations, and business stakeholders to keep our financial systems running at peak efficiency.

Contract Length: 12 months

Top Requirements:
  • Operating Systems:
    • Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments
  • Application Stacks:
    • Hands-on experience troubleshooting Java, .NET, and SQL applications
  • Observability Tools:
    • Proven expertise with AppDynamics and/or Splunk; familiarity with Grafana or ThousandEyes a plus
  • Troubleshooting & Analysis:
    • Solid problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset for deep-dive diagnostics
  • Release Engineering Background:
    • Prior experience as a Systems Release Engineer in a financial-services or similarly regulated environment
  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE):
    • Demonstrated SRE experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical applications
  • Past Financial/Banking background
