Lead ETL Developer -ICM (Incentive Compensation Management)

Job Title: Lead ETL Developer
Location: Remote

Duration: 1 year+ Contract

Anticipated start date: Immediately.

We are seeking a Lead ETL Developer to join this growing effort someone who is not only technically strong with Informatica, SQL, and Oracle, but who can also guide junior developers, provide architectural input at the solution level, and help shape best practices across the data integration lifecycle.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your ability to think end-to-end, communicate clearly, and lead by example will directly influence the success of Medica s growing internal commission operations.

Key Responsibilities

ETL Design & Development
Build, maintain, and optimize ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter, integrating data from Oracle and other structured sources. Must have recent and deep hands-on experience
SQL Leadership
Analyze, troubleshoot, and refactor complex SQL code. Serve as a go-to resource for advanced query design within the team.
Technical Mentorship
Provide day-to-day direction, guidance, and support to more junior ETL developers; help establish patterns, templates, and coding standards.
Team Collaboration
Partner with two existing ETL teams supporting Medica s ICM platform; contribute ideas, lead discussions, and align on integration strategy.
Process and Data Flow Optimization
Suggest and implement improvements across data pipelines to increase quality, reliability, and operational visibility.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
Create and maintain clear, accessible documentation for ETL jobs, data flows, business logic, and process touchpoints.
Active Participation in Agile Delivery
Attend standups, contribute to sprint planning, and help prioritize development tasks aligned with incoming payout streams.

Required Technical Skills

Informatica PowerCenter Deep hands-on experience designing and deploying production ETL jobs
SQL (Advanced) Proven ability to interpret, write, and optimize complex SQL scripts
Oracle Database Strong understanding of Oracle data structures and performance considerations
Linux Shell Familiarity with command-line operations and scripting for ETL execution/logging
Experience integrating with flat files, APIs, and other source systems

Preferred Skills
Familiarity with SAP ICM or other incentive/commission platforms
Scheduling/orchestration tools like Automic or AutoSys
Exposure to Kafka or other streaming technologies (a plus)
Experience aligning ETL with downstream reporting systems
