Senior Cloud Network Engineer / Cisco & Palo Alto / Irving, TX / Hybrid

Our client, who is a leader in the physical security industry, is looking for a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join their team. This is a company that provides home monitoring solutions, as well as commercial security, and builds out a smart home platform. They have offices across the nation, but their Irving office holds a lot of their IT footprint.

Ideally, they are looking for a Network Engineer who has good experience with cloud connectivity. Due to the large nature of the company, they work with all the major cloud providers (though their preference for this team is Azure and/or AWS). You will be responsible for designs, implementations, and maintenance of their cloud technologies. Additionally, helping them with their security and VPC designs.

Their environment is primarily Cisco and Palo Alto heavy. You will be scaling their next-gen firewalls and helping with their load balancing with F5. They are also moving to more wireless but would like someone to have good experience with LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and VLAN.

This is slated as 6 month Cont-to-hire role, pay rate will be around $60-75/hr. Onsite in a hybrid model out of their Irving office.

Contract Duration: 4 - 6 Months Cont-to-hire

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of Network Engineering experience.
• 2+ years of cloud exposure - AWS, Azure, OCI, Google Cloud Platform, etc.
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VLANs.
• Strong next-gen firewall knowledge - Palo Alto, Panorama, Strata, Prisma Cloud.
• Prior work with VMware NSX-T.

Desired Skills & Experience

• F5 Load balancing is a plus.
• Any networking certifications is a plus.
• Good written and communication skills are a must.

The Offer

• 6 month Cont-to-Hire, pay rate between $60-75/hr
