Overview:
We are seeking a Business Analyst who will support our client. The analyst will play a key role in gathering and analyzing business requirements to drive effective technology solutions. This position requires strong experience working with NYS agencies and close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Duties:

Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders.

Translate business needs into functional specifications.

Conduct gap analysis and propose process improvements.

Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.

Facilitate meetings, prepare presentations, and provide regular project updates.

Ensure business solutions meet compliance and regulatory standards.
Mandatory Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.

Demonstrated experience working on NYS government projects.

Strong documentation and communication skills.

Experience in requirement gathering and stakeholder engagement.

Based in Albany, NY or surrounding areas, and able to work 50% onsite.
Desirable Qualifications:

Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).

Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.

Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
