Google Workspace Engineer _ 3+ years exp
Scope of Work
  • Maintain and optimize Google Workspace configurations, ensuring system performance, reliability, and adherence to security best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across Workspace services including Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and Meet.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Google Workspace applications and user access settings.
  • Perform regular audits of system performance, security, and compliance posture.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation for issue resolution, processes, and audit findings.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant IT experience, including 1+ year managing a Google Cloud environment
  • Google Workspace Administrator certification (required)
  • Deep knowledge of Google Workspace services and related technologies
  • Experience in managing directory objects, configuring services, and diagnosing complex issues
  • Proficient in administering policies, third-party integrations, and identity/access management
  • Ability to generate reports that support business and IT decision-making
  • Familiarity with Google AI platforms (e.g., Gemini) and their integration into the Workspace ecosystem
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent written communication for documentation and cross-functional collaboration
  • Scripting/automation experience (e.g., using Apps Script, Python) to streamline administrative tasks
  • Knowledge of change management practices and user training approaches
  • Experience with Workspace migrations (to/from other platforms)
  • Google Cloud Platform certifications (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect)
