Solution IT Inc. is looking for a Apigee X Architect for one of its clients in Remote (EST)
Job Title: Apigee X Architect
Summary:
This position is for an individual that could work directly with clients that are moving to Apigee X, from a previous version of Apigee.
This would entail working with architects and stakeholders to convey and explain the differences in architectural considerations of the older and newer (Apigee X) platforms.
In this role, you'll be our practices and clients' subject matter expert on all matters Apigee, particularly as it relates to migration.
Leveraging your extensive experience with the Apigee platform, you'll tackle complex issues related to performance, installation, and operations, ensuring that new Apigee implementations provide a seamless developer experience.
You'll work closely with clients to design effective proxies and shared flows that adhere to best practices while also addressing critical enterprise needs such as API security, traffic management, and reliability. As a key member of our team, you'll serve as a mentor and trusted advisor to other consultants, helping them resolve intricate Apigee challenges. Your expertise will position you as a go-to resource for both clients and engineers, where you'll help shape solutions that go beyond Apigee itself, ensuring a smooth and secure API ecosystem.
Required Skills:
Must have at least 15 years of IT experience.
Deep and thorough knowledge of Apigee platforms (Edge Cloud, OPDK, Hybrid, X).
Documented experience in designing and guiding Apigee implementations.
Proficiency in Apigee proxy development, including analytics, network configuration, and CI/CD integration.
Experience implementing and operating Apigee platforms, focusing on installation, automation, and operations.
Extensive familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and Apigee components (Cassandra, nginx routers, Kubernetes, etc.).
Ability to lead the discovery, design, and delivery of Apigee migrations.
Experience in client-facing consulting and proactive account management.
Ability to learn and adapt to a fast-changing environment, particularly with Apigee platform versioning.
Ability to operate flexibly and adjust to changing requirements and technologies.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor for clients.
Familiarity with API security, especially OAuth and secure API development.
Ability to accurately estimate and size projects, contributing to project planning.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related STEAM discipline, or equivalent experience.
Certification in Apigee API Management or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
