Job Description

Role Overview
This position is within a project with one of the foundational Large Language Model (LLM) companies. The goal is to assist these companies in enhancing their LLMs.
One of the ways we help is by providing high-quality proprietary data, which serves two key purposes:

• As a basis for fine-tuning their models.
• As an evaluation set to benchmark the performance of their models and competitor models.
• In this role, you will work on upgrading Windows-based applications, leveraging generative AI for productivity gains, and ensuring robust testing and troubleshooting to support mission-critical engineering needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Windows application solutions for .NET Framework upgrades, with emphasis on using generative AI to accelerate the process.
• Prepare solution conversion plans with time estimates.
• Develop and execute test plans (Windows applications against instrument server).
• Implement solution conversion activities.
• Perform debugging and troubleshooting across Windows and Linux platforms.
• Collaborate within source control systems and follow engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience with: C# .NET frameworks, Windows, Windows Forms, WPF
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience with generative AI for programming efficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Conversion of Windows Forms applications from .NET Framework to .NET Core.
• Experience with embedded software development.
• Hands-on work with scientific instruments and instrument control software.
