• Serve as the Product Owner for a Gen AI-powered search platform spanning enterprise knowledge bases and user-facing search interfaces.
• Own and manage the product backlog, including writing, refining, and prioritizing user stories and product backlog items (PBIs).
• Lead all Agile Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, AI/ML, UX, and business stakeholders to define product requirements and deliver features.
• Translate product vision into iterative deliverables and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Collect and analyze user feedback to inform backlog grooming and continuous improvement.
• Ensure effective integration of LLMs, vector search, and internal knowledge base content into a seamless search experience.
• Track product performance and communicate progress and roadmaps to leadership.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience managing product backlogs, writing user stories, and defining PBIs in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
• Deep understanding of Generative AI concepts, particularly in search, LLMs, vector embeddings, and semantic search.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to prioritize features based on value, technical feasibility, and user impact.
• Familiarity with knowledge management systems and integrating AI into enterprise search.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field required.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification preferred.

NOTES from hiring manager:

• Role is only for local candidates to the Tampa Bay area who can work onsite hybrid model 2-3 days per week, no fully remote options
• Manager is looking to convert this role to an FTE after the contract period assuming performance and business value
• Will be running SCRUM based product meetings, wiring PBI's and Backlogs, Need 2-3 years of Product Ownership experience
• Manager values aptitude to learn new things, adaptability, critical thinking, versus heavily experienced professionals for the role
• Manager is building out a new GEN AI team and this role will be a key part of that organization
• Run the scrums, write backlogs, responsibilities of Product owner, exp with GenAI
• At least 3-4 years of exp (not 20 years of exp)
