Job Title: Cloud Automation Engineer (Terraform and AWS)
Location: San Antonio, TX (Hybrid)

Duration: Long-Term Contract

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Automation Engineer/DevOps Engineer to join our team for a long-term contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX (Hybrid). The candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks and infrastructure, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability across our software products and internal processes.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Terraform and PowerShell, strong cloud automation experience, and a solid background in DevOps and test automation.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in automation engineering, test automation, or related roles.
Strong, hands-on experience in PowerShell and Terraform (mandatory).
Proficiency with automation/test tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar.
Good understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python (preferred).
Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Must Have Skills:

Strong expertise in PowerShell scripting and Terraform-based infrastructure automation.
Cloud platforms experience, particularly AWS (RDS, PostgreSQL, Lambda, etc.).
API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
Familiarity with regulated industries (healthcare, finance) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
Build and manage infrastructure automation using Terraform.
Automate tasks and workflows using PowerShell scripting.
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent deployments.
Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to identify automation opportunities.
Continuously enhance automation strategies to improve coverage and reduce manual work.
Maintain technical documentation related to automation and infrastructure processes.
