Job Title: Senior Middleware Application Server Engineer
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
- We are seeking a highly skilled WebSphere Administrator with deep technical expertise in WebSphere Application Server and Liberty.
- The ideal candidate will have strong automation and scripting skills, experience with Agile frameworks, and the ability to design and manage secure, scalable middleware environments.
- Install, configure, automate, and administer WebSphere Application Server (ND/Base) with hands-on expertise in high availability configurations and enterprise repository setup.
- Manage and support WebSphere Liberty, including various deployments in virtual machines and containers (Podman, OCP).
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for automation; experience with workflow automation is a plus.
- Write and maintain scripts using Shell, Python, PowerShell, and Java to support automation and operational efficiency.
- Work within Agile frameworks, contributing to sprint planning and delivery.
- Design and implement application server architecture and patterns.
- Manage and maintain security certificates to ensure system integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with teams on middleware products such as Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, and NGINX.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel (functions, formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint for documentation, architectural presentations, and reporting.
- Deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience with WebSphere Application Server (ND/Base).
- Advanced understanding of WebSphere Liberty environments (virtual and containerized).
- Strong automation skills using Ansible.
- Proficiency in Shell scripting, Python, PowerShell, and Java.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Strong understanding of application server architecture, design, and security.
- Familiarity with other middleware products such as Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, and NGINX.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting.
