Job Title: Automation Developer Quality & Test Automation for DPP Suite (Vancouver, BC Onsite)
Location: Vancouver, BC
Duration: Long Term Contract
Open to: C2C (Corp-to-Corp) candidates
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Automation Developer to drive quality and automation efforts for our DPP Suite. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of reusable services, integration testing, and end-user functionality. This role involves developing robust automation frameworks, writing end-to-end integration tests, and focusing on performance, security, and user experience validation.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and assess the functionality provided by reuse services in the DPP Suite.
- Develop end-to-end integration test automation for diverse scenarios and real-world use cases.
- Drive test strategy and quality assurance practices across the suite, focusing on Security, Performance, and User Experience.
- Write reusable and maintainable automation scripts to ensure product quality at scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and product managers.
- Estimate, prioritize, and plan quality-related activities in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Validate functionality from an end-user perspective, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Report defects, track issues, and drive resolution in a timely manner.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in test automation and software quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit).
- Hands-on experience writing and executing integration, UI, and API tests.
- Understanding of cross-cutting concerns like security testing, performance testing, and usability testing.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jenkins, Git, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with programming/scripting languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DPP Suite or enterprise-scale reuse platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
- Exposure to BDD frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
