About the Role
We're looking for a skilled Java Developer to help build and scale two critical healthcare applications:
- Consent Management Platform - A centralized system to standardize patient/guardian consent logic across Health & Wellness services.
- Communications Middleware - A messaging layer that enhances outbound communication by preventing duplicate notifications and enforcing global opt-out settings.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Java development
- 2+ years deploying applications to cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS)
- 3+ years working with REST APIs (design, development, and consumption)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and JIRA
- Experience in secure environments (HIPAA, PII, PCI compliance)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with JavaScript
- Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend systems using Java
- Build and consume secure, performant REST APIs
- Support cloud-native development on Azure (or equivalent cloud platform)
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives
- Maintain high code quality through best practices and peer reviews
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a seamless user experience
