Engineering Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:The Engineering Technician is an entry-level professional with 1-2 years of experience. This individual will provide engineering services on all phases of an assigned project under the supervision of the Regional Manager, or Project Manager

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects as necessary
• Draft transmittals, memos, meeting minutes
• Review grading and drainage designs
• Process performance and maintenance guarantees
• Public works storm water/water/wastewater projects as required by client
• Perform evaluations on pump stations, sanitary sewer treatment and conveyance, planning and green infrastructure.
• Coordinate work with designers and surveyors
• Active participant in the local professional organizations preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to make public presentations
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions to present to co-workers and clients.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of computer aided design software, AutoCAD, InRoads and Excel
• Ability to work in groups as well as individually
• Knowledge of StormCAD, ArcGIS, AutoCAD
• Specification, preparation & research required

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED

• NJ PE required or imminent

The annual base salary range for this full-time position in the United States is $57,000 - $85,500. This range represents a good faith estimate and is based on factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. The range shown reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across all U.S. locations.

Within this range, individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, education, and training.
