Job Details
UX Designers are responsible for:
- Overseeeing UX/UI designs to ensure design decisions are grounded in user experience and adhere to agency-wide design standards and industry-wide best practices
- Translating research into user stories, requirements, flows, wireframes, and prototypes and collaborating on the future product roadmap
- Employing user testing and outreach to ensure products meets the needs of the end users, in collaboration with partners
- Partnering with the product team and other key stakeholders, including senior leadership, on design solutions and rationales; collaborating with internal and external teams of product designers, developers, and product managers

5 | Required | Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills |
5 | Required | Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills |
4 | Required | Direct experience leading large-scale UX/UI efforts |
4 | Required | Documented experience developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in Figma or comparable design software |
3 | Required | Experience ensuring designs and websites conform to federal accessibility guidelines |
1 | Required | A portfolio of user research, visual design, and usability studies that demonstrates a high level of professionalism |
3 | Preferred | Documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira" |
2 | Preferred | Documented experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency |
