IT Infrastructure Engineer - Hybrid

The client is seeking a motivated and technically curious IT Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain enterprise and OT (Operational Technology) systems and networks. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in infrastructure technologies who is eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite and remote support for IT and OT infrastructure in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Assist with maintenance and monitoring of critical systems, including MES and enterprise platforms.
  • Support setup and troubleshooting of Nutanix virtualization, Veeam Backup, Microsoft Server OS, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Help administer Microsoft infrastructure technologies including Azure AD/Entra ID, M365, Active Directory, MFA, and PKI.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Follow IT security best practices and assist in identifying potential vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in infrastructure projects and contribute to planning and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, including backup and recovery procedures.
  • Track and report on IT tasks and KPIs.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the IT Solution Center Help Desk.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience supporting IT infrastructure environments.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Server administration and Active Directory.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and basic command-line usage.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as Nutanix, VMware, or Hyper-V.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, NTP).
  • Experience with backup and recovery tools such as Veeam (preferred).
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell preferred).
  • Experience implementing and supporting MFA solutions.
  • Understanding of PKI concepts and hands-on certificate management.
  • Knowledge of NTP configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Adaptability, willingness to learn, and comfort working with shifting priorities.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in manufacturing or OT environments.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Automation or Nutanix.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience integrating MFA, PKI, and NTP with enterprise systems.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.
  • Proven success working in cross-functional teams.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $62.00/hr.
