Description
SAIC is seeking an IT Event Support Lead located in Hawaii at the Pacific Warfighting Center (PWC) to support the USINDOPACOM to oversee and deliver comprehensive Tier I technical support during military training exercises and events This role includes managing user accounts, deploying system images, creating SharePoint sites, processing SIPR tokens, and ensuring the seamless functionality of IT systems and infrastructure.
NOTE: Travel as required (up to 25% annually) for event support and work in rotating shifts as part of a 24-hour operational requirement for major events lasting 2-3 weeks.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide Level I support for software, hardware, A/V VTC, and network troubleshooting during training exercises and events.
Set up, configure, and test video teleconferencing (VTC) equipment prior to use and resolve issues during operations.
Deploy baseline system images using tools like MDT, MECM, or Kickstart, and wipe workstations following events.
Manage user and group accounts across multiple enclaves of responsibility, including resolving login issues.
Oversee VDI desktop and user session management.
Create and manage SharePoint sites to support events.
Respond to Jira Service Tickets and resolve user-reported technical issues.
Perform Local Registration Authority (LRA) duties, including processing SIPR tokens for staff and event participants.
Revoke, reset, troubleshoot tokens, and maintain the LRA logbook to ensure compliance during audit inspections.
Assist with asset management and equipment accountability in coordination with warehouse personnel.
Write, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation to support IT operations.
Coordinate with event participants, stakeholders, and IT teams to ensure readiness and smooth execution of events.
Support exercise control group and staff requirements as needed.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors and nine (9)+ years of related experience; an additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
Proficiency with network protocols (e.g., DHCP, DNS, SMTP).
Experience with system imaging tools such as MDT, MECM, or Kickstart.
Experience with operating systems, client hardware, accessories, and office automation software.
Familiarity with IT security compliance in DoD environments, including STIGs, GPOs, SCAP, and FedRAMP standards.
Ability to deploy and maintain IT systems and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
Hands-on experience with A/V, VDI, and VTC support.
Foundational knowledge of cloud computing and related technologies.
Ability to safely lift 50 pounds.
Capability to bend, kneel, and reach overhead to connect cables and troubleshoot equipment.
Willingness to travel up to 25% annually and work 9+ hour shifts during 24-hour operational periods for 2-3 weeks.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
Must possess a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CISSP, CASP, SecurityX).
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
