Ready to support the Lockheed Martin Space Enterprise as a member of the Special Disciplines Reliability Team? On this team you may contribute in a multitude of ways on single or multiple programs at a time, on independent research and development projects, on tiger teams, proposals, or new development efforts, to mention a few. The types of efforts vary and may include human space missions, interplanetary missions, national defense efforts, and commercial contracts.
As a Reliability Engineer, you will support the Systems Engineering (SE) Special Disciplines Organization in Reliability.
In this role your responsibilities will include:
Applying, maintaining and executing the Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) program plan per the customer requirements
Working along with Domain Experts in various fields, performing analyses at all levels of the total system product over its life cycle to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
Working with Statements of Work (SOWs) and System Specifications to ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total system solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints system and/or process reliability.
May determine units and/or batches requiring environmental testing, and specifies minimum number of samples to obtain statistically valid data
Successful applicants typically have a minimum of 3+ years of related professional experience and a Bachelors degree from an accredited college within a related discipline.

a. Reliability Program Plans
b. Reliability Predictions and Analysis
c. Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis
(FMECA)
d. Critical Items List
e. Availability
f. Maintainability Analysis and Predictions
g. Fault Tree Analysis
h. Probability Risk Assessment (PRA)
i. Familiarity with Reliability HDBKS and Standards (i.e.;
MIL-HDBK-217, Milt-STD-1629, MIL-STD-1543, MIL-
HDBK-338, MIL-HDBK-472)
j. Application of probability and statistics to support
decisions regarding sample size, burn in life testing
and failure analysis investigations
k. Aerospace/Missile experience
Experience with formal report preparation (CDRLs, SDRLs)
and interaction with external customers to adjudicate
comments and obtain approvals
ship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Desired skills
Coursework in college level courses related to the following desired degrees - Mathematics, Operations Research, Aerospace Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, or Physics
Experience in all facets of the conduct of a reliability program to include: Reliability Program Plans, Reliability Predictions and

Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change
Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
Proficiency in mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, electrical circuit design, and environmental effects on performance
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with team members
Familiarity or proficiency with the following engineering tools: [SysML/Cameo Magic Draw, DOORS, MATLAB, Architecture Framework such as DoDAF, Model Center]

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
