Technical Business Analyst (Hybrid in Central Iowa - NO Corp-Corp)

This is a HYBRID work environment that requires you to be on-site 2-3 days a week.

American Computer Services Inc. is hiring an experienced Technical Business Analyst to deliver innovative IT solutions. You will drive complex software development projects to successful completion, leveraging your expertise in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Proven expertise in eliciting requirements, writing user stories, designing documents, defining acceptance criteria, and facilitating communication between business stakeholders, developers, and project teams.
• Experience managing stakeholder expectations and priorities effectively.
• Experience working within a project governance structure, adhering to methodologies, templates, and reporting standards.
• Excellent task management skills, balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

As the Business Analyst, you will:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new software initiatives or enhancements to existing applications.
• Act as a liaison between business units, development teams, and management to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
• Develop and maintain project artifacts, including business requirement documents, user stories, use cases, workflow diagrams, and test plans.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives) to ensure continuous improvement in project delivery.
• Utilize tools like Azure DevOps, MS Project, or JIRA to create user stories, track project progress, manage tasks, and report status to stakeholders.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by developing strategies and ensuring solutions meet business requirements.
• Facilitate change management through user demos, training, and documentation to support adopting new processes and systems.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Your Overall Experience Includes:

• Experience with large, complex IT systems and SDLC methodologies.
• Experience in Agile environments, including Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
• Experience managing stakeholder expectations, prioritizing tasks, and working within a project governance structure.
• Experience managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Expert with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and Agile project management tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA.
• Experience with Microsoft development platforms and software.
• Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio or other relational database software.
• Familiarity with advanced information management practices, data modeling standards, or architecture design and analysis.

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, and/or relevant certifications combined with work experience.
