TITLE: Part-Time Contract Remote Nuclear Quality Assurance Specialist-10% Travel KEYS: Qualifications Surveys, Implementation Audits, Commercial Nuclear Plant experience Desired, QMP, QAPD, work with Lead Auditor, documentation, ASME BPVC Section III, Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

LOCATION: REMOTE

INDUSTRY: Nuclear Energy / DoE PART-TIME

DURATION: Through December 31, 2025

COMPENSATION: HOURLY RATE NEGOTIABLE BASED UPON EXPERIENCE

Up to 10% Travel- all reimbursed.

NOTE: This is a part-time and flexible contract staffing position anticipated to run through the remainder of 2025.
 
Work will be variable and on an as-needed basis.
 
This will be fully remote with occasional travel (less then 10% of time).
 
POSITION SUMMARY:
 
This job provides quality assurance program development and implementation support including: development and evaluation of quality assurance procedures and instructions; Quality assurance oversight activities including internal and external surveys, audits, surveillances, and assessments; and interface with Seine Client organizations performing activities affecting quality.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Participates in supplier qualification surveys, implementation audits, and surveillances; internal quality assurance audits, surveillances, and assessments; may lead or participate in causal analyses.
 
Supports development, evaluation, and maintenance of Seine Client quality assurance program processes including writing instructions, procedures, and other requirement and guidance documents for the quality assurance program.
 
Reviews Seine Client Level 2 and higher procedures for compliance with the Quality Management Plan (QMP) and the Quality Assurance Program Description (QAPD).
 
Serves as a resource by providing guidance, support in the field of nuclear quality assurance to Seine Clientpersonnel performing activities affecting quality.
 
Mentors others in sound approaches and standards in Quality Assurance by providing work direction and/or checking work.
 
Able to certify as a Lead Auditor within one (1) year.
 
Performs other duties as assigned.

Quality Assurance:
Commits to the understanding and implementation of quality assurance regulations, standards and guidelines of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
 
MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
 
Education/Certification:
 
A minimum of a B.S. or B.A degree. A technical degree is preferred. Ten plus years of directly applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
 
Experience:
 
A minimum of 5 years of experience associated with development and/or implementation of nuclear quality assurance programs.
 
Commercial nuclear plant experience or work in the nuclear field is preferred.
 
Demonstrated experience in quality oversight. Previously certified Lead Auditor in a NQA-1 or 10 CFR 50 Appendix B program preferred.
 
Experience working with ASME BPVC Section III programs is a plus.
 
Industry Requirements:
 
Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
 
Overall Job Knowledge and Performance: Understanding of quality assurance concepts, principles, and theories.
 
Skills: Technical writing skills. Good communication, computer, presentation and interpersonal skills.
