Senior Software Engineer

About this opportunity

Ericsson is seeking a talented and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our Trace Tools Team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will contribute to the development of advanced observability tools designed to visualize system, software, and hardware traces, supporting performance optimization of 5G baseband systems. This involves working with application and system traces generated on both Linux/x86 and Ericsson internal systems. You'll work in designing and implementing solutions to collect, process and display metrics and traces from distributed cloud system running on Linux X86 and other platforms.

What you will do.
Design and deploy containerized services on Kubernetes
Write backend code in Java/Golang
Develop CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment
Write automation scripts and integrate external APIs
Develop hardware and software tracing support tooling for 3GPP/NR

What you will bring.

Significant Experience with:
Kubernetes - Container orchestration and cluster management
AWS - Cloud infrastructure and services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS)
Docker - Containerization and image management
Linux - System administration and command-line proficiency
Programming - Proficiency in Python, Golang, or Java
API Integration - Experience working with REST APIs and web services
CI/CD - Build and deployment pipeline experience
* BS, MS preferred in Computer Science or related discipline
Additional Preferred Skills:
Argo Workflows/Argo CD - GitOps and workflow orchestration
OpenAI API - AI/ML service integration experience
Cloud Storage - AWS S3, EBS, EFS knowledge
Tracing - Experience with Tracing and performance monitoring
Observability - Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack, monitoring and alerting
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

Base pay Range: $120,000 to $175,000
