Role Summary

In this position, you will process studio and engineering data to design proof-of-concept physical properties to support packaging development. You will develop functional prototype designs to validate packaging layouts, ranging from subsystems to complete vehicles.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with designers and engineers on property requirements and generate model concepts
Create manufacturable surface models from studio and engineering outputs
Construct CAD models for armatures, support structures, mechanisms, and rapid prototypes
Manage BOMs, RFQs, quotations, and timing plans to support property build activities
Direct fabrication team and assist with property assembly
Perform dimensional verification on completed properties

Qualifications

A.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
5+ years of experience in the automotive industry
Fundamental understanding of functional vehicle systems and corresponding design principles
Working knowledge of prototype fabrication tools/methods
Experience with standard 3D CAD software such as CATIA V5 or V6
Working Hours: Standard (8am - 5pm)

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for California-Based Applicants: $107,800 - $134,800 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, and other factors permitted by law).
