Job Title: Grant and Funding Consultant (Non-Profit)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven (Non-Profit) Grant and Funding Consultant to support our non-profit organization in identifying, securing, and managing funding opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant writing, donor engagement, and strategic fundraising, with a proven track record of obtaining funds from foundations, government agencies, and private donors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Research & Identification:

    • Identify and evaluate prospective public and private funding opportunities aligned with the organization s mission.

    • Maintain a pipeline of grant and funding prospects.

  • Grant Writing & Submission:

    • Write compelling grant proposals, LOIs, applications, and reports.

    • Tailor proposals to fit the priorities and criteria of each funder.

  • Fundraising Strategy:

    • Develop and execute a strategic plan for grants and other funding streams.

    • Advise leadership on potential partnerships and collaborative funding initiatives.

  • Relationship Management:

    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with foundations, grantmakers, and donors.

    • Attend relevant meetings or networking events on behalf of the organization.

  • Compliance & Reporting:

    • Ensure timely submission of reports and compliance with grant requirements.

    • Track outcomes, deliverables, and impact metrics for reporting and evaluation.

  • Capacity Building:

    • Train and support staff or board members in funding-related best practices.

    • Provide strategic guidance on budget alignment and program development for funding readiness.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field (Master s preferred).

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in grant writing and nonprofit fundraising.

  • Proven success in securing significant funding from a variety of sources.

  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills.

  • Understanding of budgeting, program evaluation, and funder expectations.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.


Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with grant databases (e.g., Foundation Directory Online, Grants.gov).

  • Knowledge of donor management systems or CRM software.

  • Experience working with grassroots or mission-driven organizations.
