Job Details

Title: Network Security engineer

Location: Hybrid/ san jose, CA ( onsite 3 days in week)

Duration: 12+ months

Need only locals - final round will be f2f

  • Bachelor s degree in science or engineering preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 10-15 years of experience with security processes and solutions.
  • Strong understanding of current security threats, techniques, and landscape, as well as a dedicated and self-driven desire to research current and emerging threats in the information security landscape.
  • Deep knowledge in Firewalls /VPN Technologies.
  • Conceptual and practical understanding of IT Infrastructure designs, technologies, products, and services. This should include an understanding of Information Security concepts which apply to them.
  • Ability to work in a group setting and independently.
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems.
  • Good working knowledge in scripting language, Python, PowerShell, etc.
  • Experience with a Security Information Event Management
  • Strong understanding of Wireshark as well as Linux/UNIX and Windows based operating systems.
  • Knowledge of system log forensics (Syslog, Event Viewer)
  • Strong working knowledge of Network security concepts and technologies such as:

o Experience in building and maintaining network security devices for WAN, LAN, VPN, & WIFI

o Experience in Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco, Checkpoint)

o Knowledge of network packet inspection and forensics

o Knowledge of intrusion detection or prevention systems

o Knowledge of TCP/IP, computer networking, routing and switching protocols

o Knowledge of DNS, Internet policy enforcement, firewalls, Web content filtering
