About the Role:
As Chief Enterprise Architect, you lead the enterprise architecture strategy across cloud computing, data, integration, digital transformation, and DevSecOps. You're responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and resilient technology architectures that align with business goals, optimize IT investments, and foster innovation.
You collaborate with stakeholders across business operations, IT, security, data, and engineering to define enterprise-wide standards, ensure seamless system integration, and adopt emerging technologies. Your expertise spans cloud platforms, data architectures, API-driven ecosystems, event-driven architectures, automation, security, and enterprise governance. This is a hybrid role based in the Warren, NJ office (3 days in office/2 days remote).

The base salary range for this position is $201,000 - $250,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. Enterprise Architecture & Strategy:
- Develop and execute the enterprise architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with business strategy and industry best practices.
- Establish and govern architecture frameworks, technology standards, and best practices across cloud, security, data, integration, and AI.
- Provide strategic guidance on technology modernization, application rationalization, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies (AI, ML) to enhance business capabilities and competitive advantage.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and IT leaders, shaping the organization's technology transformation journey.
Cloud & DevSecOps Architecture:
- Lead cloud adoption and optimization strategies, architecting scalable, resilient, and cost-effective multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments.
- Define cloud reference architectures and best practices for serverless, containerized, and microservices-based applications.
- Implement DevSecOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS), and cloud security.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, NIST) and drive cloud security, IAM, and risk management initiatives.
Enterprise Integration & API Strategy:
- Define API-first, event-driven architectures for seamless connectivity across enterprise systems.
- Architect enterprise service mesh, microservices, and API management platforms to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance integrations.
- Enable interoperability between core enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, financial systems, risk & compliance solutions, third-party ecosystems, and SaaS platforms).
Data & AI Architecture:
- Develop and implement enterprise data strategies, ensuring robust data governance, master data management (MDM), and metadata management.
- Architect and optimize data lakes, data warehouses, real-time data processing frameworks (Kafka, Spark, Snowflake, Databricks, Delta Lake), and AI-driven analytics platforms.
- Define AI/ML architectures to enable intelligent automation, predictive analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
Security & Compliance Architecture:
- Establish enterprise security architecture frameworks, ensuring alignment with zero-trust principles, IAM, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Collaborate with the CISO and security teams to implement security-by-design principles across all architecture domains.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, financial and industry-specific regulations).
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Act as a thought leader in enterprise architecture, influencing strategic IT investments and driving transformation initiatives.
- Work closely with engineering, data, security, and business teams to ensure successful execution of enterprise architecture strategies.
- Mentor and develop internal teams, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous learning.
- Establish strong partnerships with business leaders, technology vendors, and third-party partners to accelerate technology adoption.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- You bring over 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, data architecture, cloud computing, and integration strategies.
- You've led large-scale IT modernization and data transformation initiatives.
Technical Skills:
- You have deep expertise in cloud computing, including hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
- You're highly skilled in DevSecOps practices such as CI/CD, Terraform, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, and GitOps.
- You're proficient with data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, and Redshift.
- You excel in API management, microservices, event-driven architectures, and enterprise integration platforms.
- You have a strong understanding of cybersecurity, identity and access management (IAM), and compliance frameworks.
- You're familiar with AI/ML and its applications in business processes such as fraud detection, predictive analytics, automation, and risk modeling.
Soft Skills:
- You're a strategic thinker who bridges business and technology objectives.
- Your communication and stakeholder management skills enable you to influence at all levels.
