RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a BI Developer in Bakersfield, CA.
Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing Business Intelligence (BI) data solutions. This involves creating data warehouses, data marts, and info-marts, ensuring optimal data availability. Leveraging extensive experience in data warehouse analysis and design methodologies, you will architect data solutions for the development of new Info-marts and modifications to existing data solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Take an active role in Agile and Project Management approaches, engaging from planning all the way through execution; This includes tasks like gathering requirements, breaking them down, and participating in development, ensuring valuable contributions to department or corporate projects
* Collaborate in design sessions alongside organizational stakeholders and business owners to craft and develop a data warehouse that aligns with business requirements
* Engage in meetings with organizational stakeholders to identify and construct Infomart architectures that align with business requirements
* Facilitate or join design sessions with crucial technical and business stakeholders to create reporting and analytical applications that harness the potential of the Infomart
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited institution or equivalent, coupled with six (6) years of advancing experience in a Database Administration or Database Programming role; This experience should be within a medium-to-large-sized organization with a well-defined IT department, preferably in the healthcare sector
* Or Ten (10) years of progressive experience in a Database Administration or Database programming position for a medium-to-large size organization with a structured IT department preferably in healthcare
* Experience can be exchanged on a yearly basis; The position is ideal for an individual at a mid-to-advanced stage in their career as a Database Administrator
* Proficient in handling multiple high-priority projects, adept at adjusting priorities as required; Demonstrates a capacity for delivering accurate and meticulous work, detecting and resolving discrepancies promptly, all within established deadlines
* Comprehensive proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL), demonstrating the capability to craft intricate SQL statements across diverse data structures
* Excellent organizational skills, a willingness to take on responsibilities, and the ability to showcase good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness; The ideal candidate should also demonstrate adaptability and a quick learning curve
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
