Job Details

Avanciers are seeking a senior Lead Consultant with deep expertise in Life Insurance and Annuity products to support product analysis, requirements definition, and solution design. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and global delivery teams to translate product specifications into high-quality system and functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret high-level product specifications and business requirements

  • Elicit, document, and manage functional, servicing, accounting, correspondence, and non-functional requirements

  • Conduct stakeholder walkthroughs, reviews, and obtain formal sign-offs

  • Perform gap analysis between existing system capabilities and Life/Annuity product needs

  • Define and document test scenarios and support test execution activities

  • Perform peer reviews of deliverables for quality and accuracy

  • Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve issues identified during testing phases

  • Collaborate effectively with near-shore and offshore delivery teams

Mandatory Skills & Experience

  • 12+ years of experience working on Life Insurance and/or Annuity projects

  • Strong understanding of Life Insurance terminology and data models, including ACORD

  • Hands-on experience designing or analyzing insurance products such as:

    • Term Life

    • Whole Life / Universal Life / Variable Universal Life

    • Fixed and Variable Annuities

    • Payout or Structured Settlements

    • Disability Insurance

  • Proven experience working with distributed/global delivery teams

Desired Qualifications

  • LOMA and/or CLU certifications

  • Experience with annuity product rollouts

  • Knowledge of Reinsurance, Agent Compensation, Insurance Compliance & Tax

  • Familiarity with New Business and Claims processing
