Java Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in both backend development and modern frontend frameworks. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular. The ideal candidate should have at least three years of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of full-stack architecture and cloud-native technologies.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design and develop robust applications using Java 8+, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful services
• Build and maintain microservices architecture utilizing Spring Boot and REST APIs
• Work with ORM frameworks including JPA and Hibernate
• Develop dynamic user interfaces using Angular or ReactJS
• Implement scalable cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as EC2, IAM, S3, and Lambda
• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration workflows
• Work with relational databases, with a preference for PostgreSQL
• Integrate DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven or Gradle, and Git or Bitbucket
• Apply best practices in security, transaction management, system monitoring, and performance optimization

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Angular or ReactJS for frontend development
• Strong proficiency in Java 8+, J2EE, and the Spring framework
• Proven experience designing APIs for microservices architectures
• Hands-on experience working with AWS services
• Proficiency in containerization with Docker
• Robust knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
• Experience with designing and optimizing relational database schemas is expected
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to emerging technologies and development tools
• Proven capability to work independently while contributing to team success
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Willingness to work fully onsite in McLean, VA

Preferred qualifications:

• AWS certification
