Description
We are looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in Plano, Texas, within the financial services industry. In this role, you will oversee critical systems and ensure they are optimized for peak performance while adhering to regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration and anti-money laundering software, coupled with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the performance and functionality of anti-money laundering software to ensure operational efficiency.
Collaborate with management to provide system support and strategic guidance.
Monitor system performance, including global settings and alert quality, while conducting under-threshold testing.
Partner with risk managers to optimize system agents based on regulatory changes, risk assessments, and mergers or acquisitions.
Recommend adjustments to model parameters and agent thresholds to senior management.
Support audits, regulatory examinations, and risk assessments with detailed system data.
Ensure successful execution of monthly batch processes and nightly scans.
Prepare and maintain system documentation, including configuration change logs and system change request forms.
Manage data integration and validation during new system implementations and organizational mergers.
Act as a liaison between the IT department and other organizational units to ensure seamless communication and system governance.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration and configuration.
Expertise in anti-money laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance.
Proficiency in backup technologies and data governance.
Strong knowledge of system validation and risk management practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage system enhancements, updates, and vendor-related issues.
Experience in preparing remediation action plans and system-related documentation.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to adapt to regulatory and organizational changes.
