Job Description:
This job is responsible for helping to develop and execute internal and executive communications and employee engagement strategies to inform, engage and inspire our community of 4k employees to deliver on our purpose to improve health by providing access to quality care. Specifically, this role will partner with our Manager of Executive and Internal Communications to provide executive and internal communications support for Delta Dental of California Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President Sarah Chavarria.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Assists in the development and execution of CEO and President Sarah Chavarrias communications platform and strategy
Coordinates content and production of key enterprise-wide communications touchpoints, including all-employee Town Halls (virtual, hybrid and/or in-person)
Helps craft internal communications strategies and materials for company-wide initiatives, such as our annual strategy rollout
Works closely with our Corporate Communications team to create and execute thought leadership content aligned with Sarah Chavarrias executive leadership platform
Partners closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., People, Growth, Operations, Technology, Finance) to design targeted strategic communications programs to reach and engage their teams
Creates informative and engaging communications (e.g., key messages, all-employee communications, executive presentations, digital content and internal storytelling content) to support the organization's business and cultural priorities

Skills/Experience:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging and tone for different audiences and senders
Ability to navigate between strategy and execution (can develop high-level strategic plans and also produce crisp, clear communications)
Broad knowledge and interest of recent industry best and emerging practices, including digital and social platforms to engage employees
Confirmed capability to work autonomously and exercise good judgment in fast-paced, dynamic environments, as well as the ability to escalate appropriately
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across the organization, understand their needs and provide communication solutions
Proficient in utilizing metrics and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns and make data-driven recommendations
Exceptional project and time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
The ability to carve a path forward in ambiguous situations
Desired Skills:
Minimum Education and Experience
4+ w/Bachelors degree
Additional Experience and Education
A Bachelors degree in Communications, Organizational Effectiveness, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business or related field
Insurance and/or health care experience preferred
